What's the Story?

In BARBIE MYSTERIES: THE GREAT HORSE CHASE, best friends Barbie "Brooklyn" Roberts (Diamond White) and Barbie "Malibu" Roberts (Abby Trott) head to Ken's aunt's British estate for a week-long vacation. They're delighted to spend time in the English countryside, especially since Aunt Violet has horses. Violet's daughter Morgan rides their prize horse Pepper, and they will compete in the upcoming show jumping championship. While Brooklyn and Malibu are hobnobbing at the fancy party kicking off the competition, Pepper and the diamond saddle prize is stolen. Everyone is a suspect—Italian horse collector Giovanni (Bobby Moynihan), stablehand Denholm, Aunt Violet, and others. Even Brooklyn and Malibu are suspected. They follow the clues and the suspects across Europe so they can solve the mystery, return the horses, and clear their own names.

Is It Any Good?

Our review:
Parents say : Not yet rated
Kids say ( 1 ):

This animated show is fun and entertaining, with a mixture of Nancy Drew-esque sleuthing and the typical Barbie can-do attitude. Kids who are into horses will be captivated by the equine stars of Barbie Mysteries. The story's many twists and turns will also keep kids engaged. On the flip side, the characters don't have much emotional depth, and sometimes focus on superficial things. While there are positive lessons, kids are much more likely to be distracted by the exciting caper. Barbie Mysteries is a sunny and breezy watch, perfect for kids who love horses or Barbie.
