What's the Story?

In BARBIE & TERESA: RECIPE FOR FRIENDSHIP, Barbie and her friends help Teresa perfect a family recipe for her cousin's new restaurant in New York. When her cousin has an accident, the girls rush to the city to take over preparations for the grand opening. But another friend also needs help, and Barbie finds herself stretched thin. Will this strain the girls' friendship, or will they find a way to bring everything together?

It can be hard to separate the Barbie toy franchise from the movie's intentions, but if you're open to it or if your child is already familiar with the Barbie movie-verse, they'll probably enjoy it. Barbie & Teresa: Recipe for Friendship has strong messages and features uplifting tunes with great lyrics. While the mix of pop, hip-hip, and reggaeton can feel a bit much at times, it fits with the franchise's style.
