Is It Any Good?

Baymax's signature dry but kind-hearted personality makes these micro episodes fun for the whole family. Big Hero 6 Shorts manages to pack in plenty of laughs while also sneakily promoting a healthy lifestyle via Baymax's regular health checks with his friends, especially in season 1. But as with all short-form media, parents should consider the cumulative effects of binge-watching these rapid-fire clips, which can sometimes impact a child's attention span or mood.

Talk to Your Kids About ...

  • Families can talk about how the Big Hero 6 Shorts episodes are very fast and short. How does your brain feel after watching something really fast versus something a little slower? How do different types of screen time affect your energy levels?

  • Baymax's main job is to make sure people are healthy. Which of his healthy habits, like eating well or getting good sleep, is the easiest for you to do, and which one is the hardest? Talk about how taking care of your body helps your brain stay focused and happy.

  • Even though Baymax is a robot, he's a very loyal friend. What are some ways we can be "programmed" for kindness in our own lives? What small actions, like listening or helping, make someone a good friend?
