What's the Story?

BUTTERFLY follows David Jung (Daniel Dae Kim), an ex-intelligence operative, trying to reunite with his daughter Rebecca (Reina Hardesty) after leaving her behind for nine years. But that 14-year-old grew up to become a highly trained assassin working for Caddis, a secret organization that David originally founded. Now Caddis is led by Juno (Piper Perabo), to whom Rebecca is loyal; she struggles to face David as the man that abandoned her, and the man that is her next target.

This series tries, only somewhat successfully, to balance emotions throughout all the espionage. Butterfly is an intriguing yet typical entry in the spy genre. The action sequences in between the story building might be inconsistent for viewers who are thrill seekers. The violence, language, drinking, and sexual content make this suitable for older teens.
