By the Grace of the Gods
What's the Story?
BY THE GRACE OF THE GODS centers around Ryoma (voiced by Emily Neves), a man who experienced many hardships throughout his life. After suddenly passing away, he's given a second chance at a new life by the gods of a fantasy world. Ryoma is reincarnated into a young boy who lives in a forest full of unique fantasy animals. He uses his second chance to live a new life full of adventure, helping people along the way.
Is It Any Good?
This slice-of-life fantasy series can be relaxing and offers up some uplifting themes, but the story doesn't really go anywhere. By the Grace of the Gods has some unique elements for its genre -- it's focused more on its relaxing atmosphere and pleasant interactions, rather than fantasy battles. But the chill vibes of this series are also its biggest drawback because it simply doesn't do enough with its plot to keep things interesting. There really isn't any kind of developing conflict or adventure-building. Ryoma can do anything and he always fixes every problem easily. He's fawned over by the other characters in the show who often make comments about how amazing he is. The only drama seems to be within flashbacks to Ryoma's previous life that center around his earlier hardships.
Talk to Your Kids About ...

If you were teleported to a new fantasy world to live in like the character in By the Grace of the Gods, what kind of world would you want to live in and why?
