The parents' guide to what's in this TV show.
What Parents Need to Know
Parents need to know that Candified: Home for the Holidays is a show about a group of people building a holiday-themed house entirely out of candy. Though food is involved, Candified has more in common with straightforward reality TV than with cooking or baking competition shows. It focuses on the workplace dynamics of the team building the candy house and, to a lesser degree, the craft and design choices that members of the team make. The series doesn't over-emphasize any religious holidays, but there are symbols like Christmas trees and dreidels used in various places in the house.

What's the Story?
CANDIFIED: HOME FOR THE HOLIDAY stars "Candy Queen" Jackie Sorkin and her team of designers as they attempt to make a functional, life-sized house entirely out of candy. Already known for their large, interactive candy experiences, Jackie's team sets about building their most ambitious creation to date, which features everything from an igloo with a marshmallow pool to a working toy train set, all made from candy. Yet the real challenges don't come from constructing giant objects out of gummies and breath-savers, but simply from figuring out how to work together.
Is It Any Good?
Most food shows have practical applications, whether they're teaching viewers to cook dishes or showing them the vast range of cuisines out there in the world. The takeaways from Candified: Home for the Holidays tend to be more about crafts than about candy itself. How to fit gummy penguins together in a way that doesn't leave any gaps, for example. The real focus of Candified is the working dynamic between Jackie and her team, and the drama often feels manufactured. The candy "home" of the title may ultimately be an awesome interactive experience, but it probably didn't need a "making of."
