What's the Story?

In CRASH LANDING ON YOU, a South Korean business woman named Yoon Se-ri (Son Ye-Jin, The Pirates) is busy running her fashion empire and dating celebrities when she's called to her family home for a serious discussion. Her father's release from prison for having committed financial malfeasance is reason to celebrate. But because of infighting, Se-ri doesn't feel welcome in her upper-class family. A surprising announcement has Se-ri floating on cloud nine -- so much so that she decides to test one of her brand's lines of active wear by going paragliding. A twist of fate sends Se-ri into the orbit of people who consider her an enemy of the state. How will Se-ri survive an upended life?

Our review:

This show has more ups, downs, and twists than a roller coaster, but it satisfies at every turn. An epic journey that delves into serious issues while delivering laughs, Crash Landing on You is everything that K-drama fans love about the genre. Plus there's romance -- yes, the best kind of romance -- with tons of tension and heartfelt adoration.

Teens, parents, and adventure-loving grandparents can enjoy this one together. There's a reason it's in the top tier among the all-time greatest K-dramas -- the writing, the situations, and the performances, are fantastic. Not to miss.
