What's the Story?

A CRITICAL INCIDENT occurs after Constable Zil Ahmed (Akshay Kanna) mistakenly pursues teen Dalia (Zoë Boe) as a suspect. On an evening in Western Sydney, a police unit is dispatched to a rowdy teen party. When things get out of hand, Constable Sandra Ali (Roxie Mohebbi) is gruesomely attacked by a partygoer. Zil is fueled with conviction and determined to avenge his partner. So when Dalia, running to make it back to her group home, matches the description of the suspect, Zil wastes no time chasing her. But when they get to a train platform, a critical accident occurs just as the train approaches, changing their lives forever.

This series takes a layered approach to the police drama genre. Critical Incident is intense, complex, and intriguing. Khanna's performance is gripping and emotional. Parents should mind the cursing, violence, sexual themes, and drinking if their teens are watching. But there is potential to discuss the complicated themes displayed in the series.
