What's the Story?

DELIVER ME is a gritty drama about young teens -- Bilal "Billy" Ali (Yasir Hassan) and Douglas "Dogge" Arnfeldt (Olle Strand) -- who get mixed up with a horrific ring of drug dealers in Stockholm, Sweden, and pay dearly for their choices. The families and friends who orbit the teens struggle for answers, safety, and justice against the young man responsible for the chaos and grief.

This wrenching drama isn't for the faint of heart and it's definitely not for children. Parents of teen or tween children may struggle to watch Deliver Me; the graphic violence, fear, and anxiety the young teens face is intense. The story and acting are exceptional, but the subject matter can, at times, make this show a hard watch. The redeeming quality of Deliver Me is the opportunity to have a discussion with kids about drugs, guns, peer pressure, and secret-keeping.

Talk to Your Kids About ...

  • Families can talk about how drug rings entice the teens who, for various reasons, are on their own. Discus the responsibility Billy feels to help provide, by any means necessary.

  • In one scene, an adult who had been bullied, robbed and had his daughter assaulted, reached his boiling point and commits an act that he regrets immediately. Families can discuss what his options were under his circumstances.

  • Talk about how the boys grapple with massive emotional and mental burdens beyond their maturity levels. How do lines of trust come to be blurred and crossed? Can they be repaired?
