Straight to the point

Many will compare this to the book series of the same name, I am no different. The largest problem lies in over simplifying the morals of the books and adding on extras to a good story line. They take some of the intelligence away from the main heroes, and in exchange make the problems over complicated. It would still be bad even without the book series though. Without reading the books it is easy to get lost, and it has a lot of problems with plot holes. The villain becomes uninteresting and it's hard to get into the plot.

Great show for all ages who love sci-fi adventure anime!

My son and I read the entire Deltora book series so we were super excited when we saw it was made to a TV show. It follows the books almost identically which is hard to find these days. The story line is magical and exciting. The characters are great in that they have honest reactions to things that happen to them. The hero Leif is not perfect and often is worried or scared but pushes through which gives a great message to kids.
