What's the Story?
DISNEY ANIMALS is a series of short videos (under 5 minutes) about animals. Each episode focuses on one type of animal, like mandrills, seahorses, or naked mole rats. Lots of facts are then packed into each episode, which includes live-action footage of the highlighted animal as well as animated diagrams. Narrators Graham Murphy and JeniLynn Knopp offer fun commentary about the animals.
Is It Any Good?
These shorts are a dream for animal fact-loving kids and grownups alike. Because they're so brief and tightly packed with info, lots of kids will probably appreciate watching these multiple times, especially for their favorite animals. Most of the featured animals are wild, but there are a few that could be found on farms, like pigs and Shetland ponies. Kids who are in the "fun fact" phase will be drawn to Disney Animals -- the videos are fun and easy to watch for the whole family.
