What's the Story?
Narrated by Tom Hiddleston, EARTHSOUNDS is a nature documentary that explores the sounds of our planet's wildest places. From deserts to oceans, it captures how animals use sound to survive, thrive, and communicate. Each episode is filled with dramatic natural events that unfold with striking visuals and immersive sound design.
Is It Any Good?
This docuseries stands out for its unique focus on the auditory world. From laser gun mating calls to baby crocs talking to each other from inside their eggs to decide when to hatch, Earthsounds offers a truly fascinating perspective on the natural world. The rich narration of Tom Hiddleston (Thor: Ragnarok) along with fast-paced edits and first-person perspectives almost makes the viewer feel like they're in an interactive ride. Though some vocabulary may be advanced for young viewers, the combination of beautiful visuals, immersive sound, and captivating storytelling makes this a great series for the whole family.
