In this series, characters break the fourth wall but seldom break into viewers' interest. Everybody Loves Diamonds is a solid attempt at a dramatic retelling, but ultimately meanders along its story. There is comedy, but most of it falls flat. Viewers looking for their crime drama fix would be better off looking elsewhere.
