What's the Story?
EXTRACTED is a competition reality show in which 80 robotic cameras set in a dense forest feed live to a central headquarters where 12 American families watch as loved ones try to outlast each other while living in the forest. Along the way, the families compete for the power to send essential supplies to the contestants, influencing their chances of survival. They also face the dilemma of pressing a red button to extract their loved one immediately, though doing so forfeits the opportunity to win a grand prize of $250,000.
Is It Any Good?
The Hunger Games-come-to-life concept will keep viewers on the edge of their seats, especially as the physical and emotional drama unfolds. Despite the danger faced by those in the forest, the compelling family dynamics playing out at HQ in Extracted are the true heart of the show. Raw emotions, ranging from pride and hope to disappointment and jealousy, are vividly displayed as families watch not only their own but all contestants' experiences. Ultimately, the series transcends survival thrills, offering a look at the bonds—or lack thereof—that unite families in the face of extreme adversity.
