What's the Story?
In FIEVEL'S AMERICAN TALES, Fievel and the rest of his mouse family, the Mousekiwitz, have completed their move from Russia and settled in America's wild west along with Fievel's cat buddy, Tiger. Each day is a new adventure with Fievel's big imagination and penchant for getting into trouble.
Is It Any Good?
This animated series originally premiered in 1992 and continues the story that started with An American Tale and continued with An American Tale: Fievel Goes West. Fievel's American Tales, follows Fievel, with his big imagination and tendency to get into trouble, on his daily adventures. Kids will get a kick out of seeing the young mouse in adorable cowboy gear and will love his warm Russian family and the goofy sweetness of his cat friend, Tiger. However, parents should be aware that the show features the outdated message of Fievel's father disapproving of his active imagination. It also touches on themes of being lost or left behind, which may be unsettling for very young children and the storyline allows some bullying to go unchecked. This one doesn't provide many teaching moments, but kids will still enjoy watching the character's endlessly scurrying out of scrapes and taking on new adventures.
