What's the Story?
GAME CHANGES is a series of documentaries that tell the behind the scene stories about the creation and launch of iconic games. It features insights into well-known brands like Monopoly, Scrabble, Minecraft and Nintendo.
Is It Any Good?
Game fans will enjoy this informal history lesson, while newcomers will still find it entertaining. What Game Changers does remarkably well: it tells behind-the-scenes stories in a way that's fun, easy to digest, and appealing to both kids and their parents. Some may argue it's not too in-depth, but that doesn't seem to be the point. It's about tidbits that make for great conversation starters, and quick comedic cutaways that give it a modern feel despite the VHS clips that illustrate most stories.
Even though the series features many products and advertisements that may spark renewed interest in these brands, the main takeaway is that there's always more game after "game-over:" the path to success has its ups and downs.
