Parents Need to Know
Parents need to know that Gorillas Rumble in the Jungle is a short nature documentary that focuses on a family of gorillas, including their social structure, eating habits, and bathing habits. There are segments that focus on hunting, predators/prey relationships, and physical conflict between gorillas. One segment on mating shows footage of gorillas having sex. Otherwise, Gorillas Rumble in the Jungle is a straightforward nature doc and a good introduction for anyone specifically interested in gorillas or monkeys.
Is It Any Good?
Monkeys and apes are a fascinating staple of many nature documentaries. Gorillas Rumble in the Jungle is a fine, short introduction to the lives of gorillas and their families and communities. Unfortunately, it doesn't really add anything unique to what one might find in a gorilla segment of any run-of-the-mill nature doc. It's strictly for gorilla enthusiasts.
