Cannibalism
The episode about the artists is extremely disturbing. At one point a mother murders her child, cuts his head off, and they show it cooking in the oven to be eaten for dinner with her husband.

Not for children: Adults only
Definitely for adults only, as the stories are very dark, undertones of evil supernatural events and phenomena. Some scenes are unnecessarily gory and disgusting and intends to shock viewers. The themes are lost in the morass of little related details, and the pacing is too labored to be taken seriously. Has a lot of airs about philosophical themes, but is really cheapened by unnecessary gore. I don't doubt Mr. del Toro 's talents as a storyteller, but I only think 2/8 are worth even talking about or recommending to friends. 25% - that's a failing grade.

Disturbing and disappointing
Definitely not recommended for people under 18. Based on the description and the notes here, I am afraid the CSM reviewer did not watch all the episodes. I usually admire Guillermo del Toro, but this series really disappointed me: too much violence in such graphical details, the viewer would have to be kind of sadistic (or maybe masochistic) to keep watching. I watched 4 episodes and gave up: The Outside (episode 4) was the best one to me; but The Autopsy (episode 3) was the one that lost me. Overall, I would not recommend the series.

High in horror and nudity, low in writing quality
There are several scenes with genitalia (in non-sexual situations) and many uses of profanity throughout the episodes. Gore and horror were gratuitous.
In regards to the quality of entertainment, the visual cinematics were well done, but the script, directing, and some of the acting were absolutely atrocious.
