What's the Story?

GURREN LAGANN is set in a future where humanity is forced to live in subterranean villages. The story follows Simon (voiced by Yuri Lowenthal) and Kamina (Kyle Hebert) who discover a giant robot and use it to break through to the surface, only to find a world dominated by an evil tyrant and his "beastmen" who oppress humans. The duo, along with a growing band of allies, embark on a quest to liberate humanity using giant robots, discovering the true nature of their world and themselves in the process.
