Awesome show!!!

This show is so great I have children ages 12, 12, 8, and 2 and so far I only let my twins watch this just because I don't think my 8 year old will enjoy this. Great messages: This show teaches that no matter your race, sexuality, religion etc. everyone belongs! I love the LGBTQ+ representation and parents just because your kid watches something with a lgbtq+ character doesn't mean she/he will become gay and if they do, so what? Violence: There isn't really any violence, there are a couple of verbal fights but nothing big. The only physical part is EJ getting a basketball thrown at his face. Language: There are small curse words such as, hell and crap and a bleeped out sh*t which isn't bad if you don't want your kid to curse then tell them that hearing cursing can't do anything to them. And I don't know why people are saying that there is the f-word I watched the entire series and there was no f-word! Sex: Minor kisses nothing major remember this is disney. Consumerism: Well this is based off HSM so there are mentions of it. Overall, I suggest this to any teen/preteen as long as they are mature enough!

I love seeing real teenagers playing teenagers.

Pretty Good show; a little too much drama for kids but for teens, it's super relatable.

My child was very emotional but she loves it even more!

My child absolutely destroyed her new white hoodie because she was crying so so much as the ending. However, she's a bit a silly and told me that this is the best show she's ever watched in the whole world. Also, don't get it twisted my child is 17 years old. LOL! Now my entire house is soundtracked to the songs from this show #BREAKINGFREE

Great Show, Some questionable Relationships....

First Things first, I heard people talking about swearing, but The S word being bleeped out does not count as swearing. There are great role models, but EJ steals from Nini. Good Representation with Carlos and Seb. I don't appreciate the way EJ steals and is needy for NiNi also the way ricky believes that nini should autoatically Take him back.

NOT a Family-Friendly show!!

As someone who grew up watching HSM and knows all the song lyrics, I was highly disappointed by this show. When I heard they were making a series spin-off of HSM I was super excited but this is not the HSM I grew up with and fell in love with. This show is not the family-friendly, lighthearted, and charming HSM I once knew. There are a few good role models in this show and some great topics such as anxiety and self love that I was delighted that they represented in this show. However, the importance of these issues was always overshadowed by their biggest representation, the LGTBQ community. I came into this show knowing there would be a gay couple and prepared for that, but what I didn't prepare for was the fact that by the third season, nearly the whole cast (except for maybe three characters) would become LGTBQ. Including an original HSM character. I understand wanting to have inclusion but it is very unnecessary and unappealing when it becomes obvious that the main focus of this show is on the LGBTQ community. If you want to represent inclusion, then where are my Latino people? Where are the representations of cultures and ethnicities in this show? Another disappointment is the lack of healthy relationships. The only "healthy" relationships are given once again to the LGBTQ couples and the others are thrown in the dirt and treated horribly. It pained me to see how Ricky, Gina, and EJ were put in toxic relationships when they, out of all the characters in this story needed a healthy relationship the most. I don't mean to be rude, I am just stating my honest opinions and how this has deeply upset me. For the positives, I have been thrilled to see several original HSM cast members making appearances throughout the show and it really brings back memories of my childhood. As a theater kid, I also loved the idea of the characters putting on performances/musicals throughout the show and filming in the original halls of East High. Some of the characters have really developed throughout the series and it has been really cool to see how they have grown as a person. Overall, I believe this show should not be on Disney + and I am only giving this show two stars and will only be watching the final season because I am a big Rina fan. I knew those two had chemistry and a connection from the beginning and I am so happy they finally got the beautiful and healthy relationship they deserved. I can't wait to see this adorable relationship play out, and I hope Elton/EJ will find the same in the girl of his dreams. Also, I'm still holding on to hope that Zac and Vanessa will finally make an appearance in this final season. (:

I really do like this show , its not suppose to be a remake of highschool musical and it does not feel like it either which is correct. I think 12+ year olds would enjoy this

The best TV show ever!

OMG! This TV show is the best show ever! There's limited cursing and romance, but I was so amazed! I totally recommend!

High School Musical:The Musical:The Series is awsome for me.

I like this sow because they have amazing voice when they sing and IF only if we can watch it on DVD(when it comes out on DVD after Disney+ when it's done) then we will be happy including me.
