What's the Story?
Capi is a 12-year-old boy who has recently discovered a superpower: He can turn himself INVISIBLE—sometimes. He feels isolated from his friends and starts to see faceless monsters everywhere. After a serious incident leads to his medical care, he starts working with a psychologist, who helps him make sense of what happened and how his mind copes with it.
Is It Any Good?
Capi's silent journey with bullying is a loud wake-up call to those who think that just ignoring harm is helpful. INVISIBLE is provocative, intense at times, and very clear about its message that speaking up is vital. While it may not be an easy watch, it's sensitive work that tries to provide layers of understanding for all parties: People aren't simply good or bad, and there's always time to change. For more sensitive viewers, it may be best to not binge-watch, and caregivers can fit in conversations about the story development and topics discussed.
