What's the Story?

IRON CHEF: QUEST FOR AN IRON LEGEND features chefs challenging culinary icons for the chance to become a legend. Mark Dacascos, aka The Chairman, and quick-witted commentator Alton Brown return for the Iron Chef reboot, and are joined by celebrity chef Kristen Kish. Together they welcome a new group of Iron Chefs, including Chef Curtis Stone, Chef Marcus Samuelsson, Chef Gabriela Camara, Chef Ming Tsai, and Chef Dominique Crenn. Each of them cooks off against a talented challenger chef who has been successful in their own right. As they slice, braise, roast, and char ingredients to create foods to impress a panel of guest judges, the chefs must adapt quickly to incorporate secret ingredients and last-minute course requirements while motivating their teams to make the best dishes possible. The challenger that cooks the best and earns the most points in their round returns for a final cooking battle in hopes of winning the Golden Knife and the title of Iron Legend.

The fun and energetic reboot features all the fast-moving, competitive kitchen action the series is known for. Fans of the original Iron Chef America will enjoy the return of the show's hosts, former Top Chef contestants, as well as the appearance of recognizable Iron Chefs like Masaharu Morimoto. Celebrity guest judges also add to the fun. But Iron Chef: Quest for an Iron Legend also offers the opportunity for viewers to become more familiar with a new generation of cooking talent. If you like a good food competition, you'll want to tune in.
