one of the best comedies!!

this is one of the best current comedies on tv. there is a little sex (very infrequent) but many mentions of it. references is nothing that wouldn’t be said on a tv14 show. lots of drug use, specifically cocaine use by Frank and a small subplot about alcoholism from the waitress. high schoolers will already be familiar with this. PLEASE NOTE these characters are not role models whatsoever. i would say teens even a few years younger than 15 could watch this but they have to be mature enough to know that no, these people aren’t role models.

America's Best Sitcom

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is the best sitcom on television. Its innovative premise and humor have kept it funny for 14 seasons and counting, an anomaly when it comes to comedy series. It's astoundingly clever, ridiculously funny, and an all-around great show. It's criminal that it's never won or been nominated for a major Emmy. This being said, I would not show it to someone under the age of 14. The characters are all horrible people who are racist, sexist, homophobic, and just generally selfish and terrible. The show, being a satire, is clearly displaying their characters as bad. However, if you're too young, you could partially miss some of the satirical elements of the show and glorify it instead. Also, there are moments that I really would not feel comfortable with a child hearing. It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is a spectacular show that I hope continues for many more seasons. It deserves its place as the longest-running American sitcom.

This show is hilarious and dark. I personally think this is the greatest sitcom of all time, though this show has some uncomfortable moments. Chief among these is when Charlie is accidentally accused of being molested by a former teacher. His family holds an intervention and he does not protest that he was falsely accused, and goes along with it. This episode is hilarious but is uncomfortable to watch. The characters are also horrible people. There is a lot of sexual references and some minor violence. There is cursing frequently and some racial slurs are said, but they always have severe consequences. If children know everything that is in this show it does not mean it is appropriate. There is also some minor drinking and drug use.

A good show, for mature kids

This show is very rude , controversial, and taboo, but somehow manages to make it all hilarious. Though all of the characters are horrible role models, they do have their moments of being good people. One character records women without their consent.

I wouldn't let kids watch it

The characters are all psychopaths, one is implied to be a serial rapist. All around, bad role models. But the show pokes fun at its characters. Problem is, there's a ton of crude humor. The characters also constantly drink and swear. At one point two of the characters get addicted to crack. Two of the characters think they've eaten human meat and go try to find more to eat. Seriously, that's the kind of stuff there is here. Doesn't mean it's not funny, just not for kids.

Not suitable for the impressionable

A hilarious show for age appropriate viewers, but it requires a knowledge of right and wrong to fully understand. These characters are NOT role models, but can serve to a more mature viewer as an antithesis of what is moral behavior,

Funny raunchy show

This show is rated TV-MA. There are episodes with nudity and strong sexual content. Many episodes have people drink pervasively and get drunk. Lots of language too

The most depraved and hilarious shows on tv.

Always sunny in Philadelphia is probably the funniest show on TV probably because the characters are the worst and most depraved people Television has ever seen. Not a show for people under 16. It's funny and irreverent covering every taboo topic from teen drinking (main characters supplying booze because they realize that minors are the only customers at the bar they own) to incest (there being an ever milk drinking family called the "McPoyles" who are always suggested to have incestuous tendencies) and gun ownership (episode ending in one of the main characters being shot in the face though not killed). I think it's pretty obvious to anyone that what the characters in the show is horrible and there really isn't any type of moral ambiguity. Most of the jokes are played off of the fact that the characters are horrible people. Great show for older teens and adults.

Great for the older crowd. Keep kids away.

This show is hilarious. However much of the humor comes from the absurdity of the characters actions and how 'serious' issues are dealt with in a completely un-PC way. Definitely not good for anyone under the age of 17. There are episodes where the characters use a priest for money after they get him addicted to cocaine. In the very same episode another character is prostetuting himself for money. The horrid thing is that his father acts as his pimp.
