Parent and Kid Reviews
What's the Story?
Munki, a monkey, and his animal friends, including Trunk the elephant, a rhino, and a giraffe, live in the jungle. There, they discover cool things about the world around them, from a beehive, to a raindrop, to a sassy hedgehog. They often use teamwork to problem solve and make discoveries about their jungle home.
Is It Any Good?
This series is a solid pick for kids who are especially drawn to jungle animals. Jungle Beat has lovable characters with lots of personality, though they don't always behave like their real-life counterparts (Rhino acts a lot like a friendly puppy, for example). A lot of the adventures are somewhat fantastical (you can't bounce super high on red and white mushrooms!), so don't expect to learn too many concrete facts about the jungle here, but it's worth sticking around for the goofy fun.
Talk to Your Kids About ...
How do these animal friends work together to solve problems? Do their differences get in the way, or help them in the end?
Families can talk about wild animals. What is your favorite? Is it found in the jungle or the forest?
