What Parents Need to Know
Parents need to know that this educational show tries to explain some of the mysteries of the universe from a science-based perspective. Scientists describe some of the most advanced theories about space, such as whether we might ever encounter alien life, or what would happen if a huge celestial object slammed into Earth -- and some of these concepts might introduce fear or anxiety in very young or very sensitive viewers. The explanations can be understood by most tweens, but are interesting for anyone.

What's the Story?
Is there life on another planet? How did early civilizations learn to chart the stars? What would happen if a massive asteroid slammed into the Earth? KNOWN UNIVERSE tries to answer these questions, and more. Brilliant scientists from some of the top universities explain what we know -- and what we don't know -- about space. It's fascinating stuff, and it's clear there's still so much we can learn.
Is It Any Good?
Known Universe is ideal for anyone who ever looked up at the sky and wondered if anyone up there was watching us. It explains, in easy language, some of the biggest mysteries of space, then goes on to explain even more fun facts. Even people with a casual interest in astronomy and physics will enjoy this show, especially its amazing graphics that feature real footage of the cosmos and computer simulations of things that we think might really be out there.
