Larva Family
What's the Story?
In LARVA FAMILY, Red and Yellow (adult larva grubs) experience new parenthood when Magenta is born. They are often under attack by predators like Owl and Spider, and need to avoid being eaten. The larva family uses farts, snot, and their super long tongues to fight their foes.
Is It Any Good?
Kids should look elsewhere for shows that have plots, positive messages, and lovable characters. Larva Family lacks dialogue and has minimal storytelling. It's mostly just an extended action sequence, and kids will have a hard time understanding the plot or having any real take-aways from the story. Grown-ups will be disturbed by the level of gross-out potty humor. While some well-employed potty humor can be an effective tool to draw kids in and make them laugh, this show will cross most grown-ups' line of acceptability. There's lots of great kids' TV out there, so families should look elsewhere.
