LOVE this show

This is a great show. Absolutely hilarious, and gives some good news too. It’s very well written, and obviously super thought out. 10/10.

I’ll correct this when I get a driver’s permit

This show would be good if not for the experiences I’ve had with it. It certainly is very mature already, but because of an incident I had with a Jigglypuff in this series that I do not wish to disclose, I have come to greatly dislike it except for the rare clean episodes. The incident still haunts me to this day. Don’t show your kids this. I hope this review saved a kid from nightmares!

Not really funny

Like many political comedy shows, it is directed at teens and adults. This one seems to be directed to older teens and adults. It may be rated TV-MA, well that's probably because he uses strong language sometimes and it's usually uncensored. I don't really think it's funny(yes I do get most of the jokes) but older people might. This show isn't that inappropriate (as most political comedy shows aren't really that inappropriate and usually just have jokes that high school and middle school students would use) but considering the many other political comedy shows, it is on the higher end of its inappropriateness. It's definitely for teens and adults but I guess older children could watch it because they probably already know all the words and they won't get the jokes that much.

Good

I was introduced to this when i was eleven during the summer and liked it. Found it funny and entertaining. Unfortunatly there is currently a virur trying to kill is all now and because kf this i find this show more important than before because it gives me information about what is going on in the world. Sadly i watch it on youtube and by the time we get to see it the events have passed. Also because i live in canada i dont profit from watching this. I just watch it because its entertaining now. There is also some sex and and violence can be found in clips thay are shown and there is some strong launguage

Not ok for kids. Teens for sure

Yes there is sometimes f**k and d**k and others. But I think some of the comments are a over reaction. It’s the news coverage of hard topics like death and destruction and even sexual scandals. But don’t watch if you below 15 because you just might not understand it yet. Hard topics with a joke.

John Oliver Brilliantly Takes On Satirical News

The absolute best political comedy series is witty, edgy, sharp, profane, entertaining, educational, and absolutely hilarious. Another one of Jon Stewart's brilliant offspring.

I could watch John Oliver forever. I love his cheerful and charismatic approach at new issues. I laugh out loud throughout most of his show (most likely sounding like a lunatic to everyone else in my house). I can understand how thins could give parents pause though, because he does make many frequent blatant jokes that involve sex. (CSM says that there is occasional nudity, but I have seen almost every episode and clip and I have no recollection of that). He also swears frequently. If this is something that is not new to your kid, then I don't think it should stop you from letting them watch it because he brings up a lot of global issues that need more recognition and awareness in a way that is extremely entertaining. Side note: this is a very left-leaning show that you would probably not enjoy if you are more conservative.
