Lockerbie: A Search for Truth
Parent and Kid Reviews
What's the Story?
LOCKERBIE: A SEARCH FOR TRUTH focuses on Jim Swire (Colin Firth), a British doctor who loses his daughter in the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 in December 1988. Swire devotes his life to holding accountable those responsible for the disaster. What will his investigations unearth?
Is It Any Good?
Though it might feel recent to some, this show's depiction of the Pan Am Flight 103 disaster reaches back 35 years to tell a story that many contemporary viewers might not be familiar with. Unfortunately, however noble the series' subject Jim Swire's actions were in real life, there's not a ton of drama to be found in his Lockerbie story. Though the series feels like a meticulous recounting of Swire's quest for accountability—it's almost a docudrama— there's not enough of an urgent answer to "why this story? why now?" to make it compelling to viewers without a specific interest in the tragedy.
