What's the Story?

In LU & THE BALLY BUNCH, kids in a preschool class learn how to get along and how to solve problems. The "kids" in this school are bugs, and they go to school inside their teacher Shella the Snail's (Aileen Mythen) shell. Lu the ladybug (Freya McLaughlin) leads the way with her enthusiasm and also her big feelings. Her buggy friends include a butterfly, worm, bee, fly, and beetle. They experience every day preschool problems, like accidentally ruining your friend's art project, disagreeing about what game to play, and taking turns. When there's a problem, Shella helps them express their emotions and come up with a solution. At the end of each episode, the bugs rock out with a fun song related to the story.

Is It Any Good?

Lu & the Bally Bunch is an adorable, gentle show that's perfect for preschoolers. The voice actors sound like real little kids, so the buggy characters and their problems will feel relatable to young audiences. Each episode focuses on naming characters' emotions, which helps kids watching at home learn about their own emotions and how to deal with them. Grown-ups can feel good about little kids learning about their big emotions with Lu and her friends.
