Too psychotic for me

Sexual references in every episode. Psychotic killers in every episode which is to be expected based on the show premise, but it shows way too much gore, violence, and talks too much about sexual abuse and rape. Too creepy and inappropriate. You may want to either not watch or fast forward through those parts...

Stylish, violent and dark

Personally I love Luther. The show has plenty to offer, cops solving crimes, fascinating characters and hooking plots; this show is the best British police show since Life on Mars!

- violent beatings
- shootings
- strangulations and choking
- sexual violence and rape are discussed
- occasional ‘f**k’
- in later episodes there is a brief sex scene
- dark topics such as:
- rape
- child sex abuse
- necrophilia

really well done, but hard drama

not for kids or sensitive adults. Good, but overly violent and some really very twisted sexual crimes depicted. Really not necessary and is a bit overkill in my opinion.

Excellent Drama

This is fairly tough and uncompromising and definitely not aimed at kids. There is plenty of violence, sexual references and mention of paedophilia. Characters are three dimensional, everything is shades of grey, making it appropriate for mature teens and particularly those with an interest in English or Drama.
