Good family show but... no warning about the kissing

The other reviews are accurate and my kids (11 and 9) really enjoyed the first show. Only surprise (since the rating for "sex" was none) was that there were a couple of scenes where Macgyver and the female character kiss. Not too passionate, but still would have liked to know that before choosing to share with kiddos.

emphasizes creativity

Violence is rare on this show. That is a rarity for an action show. MacGyver shows how common everyday items can be used to do something extraordinary, such as getting out of danger. He is quite smart and clever to think about such things. That he chooses such nonviolent means to solve his problems sends a good message. The only word of caution for families with young children is that some of these "inventions" won't work in real life.
