What's the Story?

MISEDUCATION follows Mbali Hadebe (Buntu Petse), a wannabe influencer who seems to have everything: popularity, privilege, and power. But a scandal involving her high-profile mother suddenly leaves her a social pariah. After being canceled everywhere online and in real life, Mbali escapes to a small university hoping to rebrand herself and prove that she can make it on her own. Mbali finds herself fitting in with the "misfits" at university (Prev Reddy, Micaela Jade Tucker) instead of the popular crowd she's used to. As she tries to run away from her past, she soon finds out that her reputation runs faster.

This series covers the consequences of a fall from grace and the pitfalls of popularity. Miseducation is your standard coming-of-age college drama, and conversations about social issues are woven into the plots of a diverse group of archetypal characters. It's fast-paced, melodramatic, and will sate any viewer trying to get their genre fix. The language, sex, and violence make this more suitable for older teens.
