Great show, some things to watch out for

This show is a hilarious family sitcom which follows the lives of 3 smaller families, who are all related to each other, making one big family. As a 10 year old kid, I think this show is great for kids ages 10 and up. There are definitely a good amount of sexual references and jokes, which may make older kids uncomfortable, and younger kids may not understand everything. There are some mature themes like drinking and smoking, but it doesn’t encourage any bad things. There are some inappropriate episodes (one where the mom tries to find out who watched porn on the computer, one where the kids walk in on the parents doing it, etc) but if you handpick your episodes, you’ll be ok. It never shows any nudity, but sometimes the women wear revealing clothes. They do cuss a little (words like damn, hell, ass, b*tch, slut.) Sometimes the characters do things they shouldn’t do, especially in relationships, but there are always consequences at the end. There is a gay couple, but hopefully you understand that that is fine. They also have an inspirational message at the end of every episode. Overall, this is my favorite show, and it is great for mature kids.

Great show but depends on your kids

Modern Family is a TV show (available on Netflix) about 3 families (who are also related to eachother) and the problems that they face in their relationships! The first family is a very stereotypical one, with three kids (Hayley, Luke and Alex), and parents (Claire and Phil). Phil’s father, Jay is married for a second time to a Columbian woman, who clearly quite a bit younger than him. Her son, Manny, is around 10 years old in the first series, but gets older towards the end. The last family are Jay’s other child, Mitchell and his husband Cameron are a gay couple (however this WILL NOT concern your children, as one myself I am a HUGE supporter of this), who have adopted a baby girl (Lily). It is hilarious but does contain sexual references, though they are mainly funny rather than particularly serious. Jay particularly swears a bit, though nothing they would have heard before (mainly b*tch). It honestly depends on how mature your children are! Hope that this review helps!

Amazing show

This is such a great show and it provides such comfort when watching, the show is really funny but the humor is for more mature ages, there are mentions of eating disorders and when it is mentioned it is often joked about, overall though it is a great show and if your a teenager or child you’ll be able to relate to a character in some way or another ❤️❤️

Something you will never come across again.

I never expected a show to hit this hard for me. I came into this with no warning whatsoever, yet somehow these characters changed my life in so many ways. I cannot even begin to tell you how much they have made me laugh, smile, cry, scream, and.. just happy in general. Like, I LOVE THESE PEOPLE! You get indulged in the show almost immediately, with the families running around in panic, but somehow always finding a way to lean on each other again. Lies are the main thing that really send everybody into thinking otherwise. Like, you know they are going to be mad at each other, you know they are going to make up in the end, but that’s what makes it so special. This show shows you how much a family can love each other, how we can forgive and forget, and always be close. These characters have taught me so many things that I could never forget. I really don’t know what I would be doing right now if I didn’t watch this show. It’s beautiful, it’s funny, it’s annoying, it’s sad, but it makes you incredibly grateful for everything you have right now and makes you wonder why we stick together. Without modern family, I would be broken, I wouldn’t be who I am today. As you can see, I care more about this family than I initially thought. When I first saw the family come into the door and Lily being held up like little simba, I realized that this is so much more than just a silly show that lasted 11 seasons, it’s something I’ve never seen before. So what do I think? Well I think this was one of the best things I have ever watched. I was so involved with these characters that I never really thought it would be over. And it never really is. I can still go back to them, I know. But it will never be the same as watching them laugh, cry, and enjoy each other for the first time. But I can still enjoy them like I did for 3 months. I am so thankful that I watched that scene of Haley in a cat costume, because it lead me to more than a reality show. It lead me to a family. Why should you watch this show, you ask? Because it will make you feel something. Because these actors will become your second family. Fix that step.

Fun for all the family.

Fun for all the family. Some rude jokes but the younger kids won't get them. My favourite character is Clive Bixby and Manny. Jay and Alex are good role models as they are both hard working.

Amazing, funny, and brilliant TV show has some mature themes and humour.

Modern Family is one of the best TV series out there. It's hilarious and very well-made and scripted. The show contains some mature themes sometimes, so watch out for that.

HILARIOUS

HILARIOUS. Definitely a lot of sexual references/jokes and some drug references and stuff. The B word is thrown around a lot. It is very diverse, which I love. There are people of many races and sexual orientations. In fact two of the main characters are gay and have an adopted daughter from Vietnam. I would not recommend watching this if you are under 11. I think 12+ is probably best. However it’s a GREAT show 10/10 would recommend!
