What's the Story?
MR. AND MRS. MURDER tells the true story of Mike Williams, a man who vanished during an early-morning hunting trip on Lake Seminole in Florida. As his wife and family dealt with the aftermath, a twisted tale of betrayal, secrets, and manipulation involving their closest couple friends began to surface. What started as a suspected boating accident slowly turned into a murder investigation that shocked their community.
Is It Any Good?
This gripping true-crime docuseries that unravels a twisted story of betrayal and manipulation is told primarily by the one woman left standing. The central mystery in Mr. and Mrs. Murder is instantly compelling, and the slow reveal of buried secrets makes for absorbing viewing. The interviews and storytelling are solid, but the series falters by leaning into sensationalism, with repeated imagery of lurking alligators and neon crosses above a dingy bed and video camera. Despite this, the core narrative remains strong, especially for viewers who appreciate the complexity of true crime stories rooted in relationships, community, and deception.
