My Little Pony: Winter Wishday
What's the Story?
In MY LITTLE PONY: WINTER WISH DAY, the ponies celebrate Wishentine Day (Wish Day for short). All of the ponies have conflicting holiday traditions but they decide to work together to get them all done so that they can be together to exchange gifts under the Wishing Star at the end of the day. But will they run out of time before the star appears?
Is It Any Good?
Saturated with rainbows, magic, gingerbread house building and even a game or two of charades, this is everything you'd expect from a My Little Pony holiday special. My Little Pony: Winter Wish Day is a highly colorful and engaging animated show that is sure to delight its target audience. But it's the show's emphasis on not only respecting, but actively celebrating, everyone's varying approach to the holidays that makes it stand out. The ponies' gentle and silly humor is also pitch perfect for their young audience and will lead to lots of giggles.
Furthermore, the real world holiday season issues that pop up in the show will be relatable to both kids and adults -- the ponies' struggles while trying to fit in trips to multiple places during the holiday will certainly resonate with many viewers. Overall, the special is a delightful and heartwarming show that may even help the whole family reflect on what really makes the holidays special.
