My Love: Six Stories of True Love
Parent and Kid Reviews
What's the Story?
MY LOVE: SIX STORIES OF TRUE LOVE follows six couples from around the world for a year in their lives. The couples shown come from all walks of life and showcase how love can be eternal, even with arguments, growing older, and facing end-of-life preparations.
Is It Any Good?
My Love: Six Stories of True Love will be a hit for hopeless romantics who get a kick out of watching love unfold. The docuseries showcases six couples from across the world whose romances keep going strong, even into old age. The couples face issues many elderly people face, such as changes to their neighborhoods and communities, coming to terms with loss of mobility or loss of independence (one of the husbands featured in the series has his driver's license revoked), and preparing for end-of-life care and funeral plans.
With each episode in the series taking place over a year, some viewers might feel like the pace can be lackadaisical, if not boring. But for other viewers, the pace will provide time for contemplation as they watch families express decades-long love for each other. If you're a person who loves watching comforting television, My Love might be the series for you, as it exudes feelings of safety, hopefulness, and joy.
