What's the Story?

In O11CE: NEW GENERATION, Gabo is a successful soccer player who's just led his team into a major international competition. During the break before the championship, he returns home to visit his family and his old soccer team, only to find that the team has fallen on hard times. Motivated by nostalgia and a strong desire to give others the same opportunity the Hawks gave him, Gabo gives up his holiday to help rebuild the team and restore its former glory.

The series blends melodrama with lighthearted humor, appealing to young kids and tweens with a tone that's common in Argentina but less typical in American sports shows. O11CE New Generation blends high-stakes sabotage, personal conflict, and goofy comedy.

Young viewers interested in sports may enjoy watching the Hawks team come together, whether or not they are familiar with the original O11CE plot. Prior knowledge is not required, though viewers who enjoy one show are more likely to enjoy the other. While the series includes messages on teamwork and friendship, it also reproduces stereotypes and limited representation, which may prompt discussion about its setting and cultural differences.
