What's the Story?

PAUL AMERICAN is an unscripted series showcasing the daily lives of internet celebrities-turned-athletes Jake and Logan Paul. Known for their over-the-top (and sometimes controversial) videos on YouTube and other social media platforms, the Paul brothers have decided to show the world that they, along with their always supportive and outspoken dad, Greg, and their mom, Pam, are a true American family. Logan's fiancée, Nina, and Jake's girlfriend, Jutta, also have their backs. From watching Logan compete in Wrestlemania to supporting Jake's planned match with Mike Tyson, the brothers' loved ones are there each step of the way.

Is It Any Good?

Our review:
Parents say : Not yet rated
Kids say : Not yet rated

This obnoxious series features Jake and Logan Paul constantly self-promoting and -aggrandizing themselves every chance they get. Paul American's brothers are quick to share that they are very successful at what they do and that they work hard to promote their various brands to get paid lots of money. This is no different than most influencer-themed unscripted entertainment, but unlike other series, Paul American fails to produce a cohesive story while engaging in shameless self-promotion. Furthermore, rather than telling a story about who they are as a family, the brothers, along with their dad (and on occasion other cast members) consistently offer arrogant and pretentious thoughts about random things (including some hateful comments) that seem like they are intended for short social media clips. This is combined with the brothers' conversations about themselves, their sibling rivalry, and scenes from past videos. There's no doubt that Jake and Logan Paul fans will be drawn to it, but if you're not one of those, this is a reality show worth skipping.
