In POLLY POCKET: ADVENTURES IN RIO Polly and her middle school friends live in Rio de Janeiro and have the magical ability to shrink to pocket size using magical amulets, which also grant animals the ability to talk. As Polly and her friends embark on various adventures, the series also subtly incorporates mythology to teach life lessons.
Is It Any Good?
Inclusivity, emotional intelligence, and lighthearted adventure make this animated series a solid option for young viewers. The diverse cast and subtle cultural elements add to Polly Pocket: Adventures in Rio's draw, though the clear promotion of Polly Pocket toys is inescapable. The hour-long episodes (each containing two stories) may also feel lengthy to parents.
