What's the Story?

Penelope is a kind kitten in the Storybook World who is given a magical bag and the title of Princess of Kindness. Whenever a friend or creature is in need, PRINCESS PENELOPE'S PURSE OF PREPOSTEROUS THINGS has the answer. While it may not always be clear what that is—how do you help a fire-breathing dragon with pink marshmallows?—Princess Penelope uses creativity and the help of friends to find a solution.

Once again, Angela C. Santomero creates characters that are kind and cute and great role models. Princess Penelope's Purse of Preposterous Things offers young viewers who are used to the YouTube environment a familiar format: short, snappy, and easy-to-consume stories, with a sprinkle of curriculum. Santomero's presence and narration tie everything together and end each episode with a hook, encouraging viewers to return for more. But since the stories are non-conclusive, this format could also encourage binge-watching or some frustration when more episodes aren't available.
