What's the Story?

PUNIRU IS A KAWAII SLIME brought to life by Kotaro (voiced by Shūichirō Umeda) when he was a little kid. Now that he's in middle school, Puniru (voiced by Yū Sasahara) is still around, but Kotaro has outgrown cute things. Or so he says. Puniru is on a mission to regain Kotaro's attention and make cuteness a worldwide phenomenon.

Is It Any Good?

Our review:
Parents say ( 2 ):
Kids say ( 1 ):

This feel-good kid show is loaded with light-hearted comedy. Puniru Is a Kawaii Slime features a simple conflict in each episode; larger messages about growing up and friendship tie it all together. Characters are likable and relatable, especially for younger audiences. Kotaro and Puniru have a lot to teach kids about being true to yourself and being a good friend. It's unpleasant that the show includes any sexualized jokes, especially since middle school characters are drawn to look much younger. That said, they're not the main focus, and there are still some positive themes that make the show worth watching.
