Kids say the show is an intense action series that features a no-nonsense hero and solid storytelling, but it is rife with graphic violence, strong language, and occasional nudity that may not be suitable for all viewers, particularly younger audiences. Although it provides thrilling and well-crafted narratives, parents should be cautious about its mature themes and explicit content, even if some think it's fine for older teens to enjoy.

What's the Story?

Based on Lee Child's novel Killing Floor, REACHER is a TV series starring Alan Ritchson as Jack Reacher, a former military police investigator turned drifter caught in the middle of a conspiracy in a small town. Margrave, Georgia, has its first homicide case in 20 years, and Chief Detective Oscar Finlay (Malcolm Goodwin) suspects that Reacher, who just happened to arrive in town that day, has something to do with it. Also taking an interest in him is Officer Roscoe Conklin (Willa Fitzgerald). But as details about the case unfold, and the case gets more complicated, Reacher finds himself trying to solve the case, and willing to fight whomever he has to get answers.

Is It Any Good?

Our review:
Parents say ( 8 ):
Kids say ( 16 ):

The TV adaptation of the Lee Child book franchise mixes brains and brawn as it tells a somewhat predictable crime story. The hard-boiled TV episodic is a departure from the Jack Reacher films starring Tom Cruise, and Alan Ritchson's interpretation of the lead role feels more authentic. But despite some twists and turns as efforts are made to solve the crime, the TV adaptation doesn't offer anything particularly new or innovative in the storytelling.
