AMAZING
This is an AMZING SHOW I LIVE FOR IT!!!
There is a lot of violence murder, gun shots in people’s heat, carvings in people’s backs, drowning, blood, ECT. There is romance and s*x nothing is shown and it cuts out before the actually have s*x so nothing graphic, lots of kissing. I did get mad in season 5 when (!SPOLIER!) Betty and jughead broke up and I stoped watching the season and I will not continue watching it until I know they get back together in season 7 hopefully. I love this show!

You should watch riverdale
Riverdale shows and explains everyone’s side of the story and explains the things going through the minds of the villains and the jerks of the story and doesn’t just paint the hero’s as perfect everyone has flaws and their pain. Riverdale is a great show that shows physiological and physical pain and how the effects and changes people.

Loved this show. Great representation and interesting plots (get kind weird in the last season).
I watched it at 12, but probably best for a 13 year old.

Read into the show before watching and then saying its bad and you didnt know about anything about it.
In my opinion i thought this show was very good. There is a good amount of violence but the show is also based around a gang and murders so theres going to be violence. Some people say theres too much blood and gore but i disagree because i feel like the worst thing we get really is dead bodies which aren't always that bad depending on how people feel about them. the romance in it is nice its typical high school romance. there is s*x occasionally but theres never n*dity u will see shirtless guys and girls in bras though. There is swearing but there isnt too much because this is a Tv-14 rated show. This show is based around the two sides of the cities one side is good one is "bad" so some people might not have the best family. Keep in mind this is just a show and not real life while watching. its also fun to watch and try to figure out the mysteries with them.

Recommend parental guidance for 10-13. 13+ is fine.
Personally, I think that this show got kinda boring after the first 1 and a half seasons. Yet, I still watch it. Why? Well, I’m too deep into it to stop. I have to admit, the musical episodes are… lacklustre and sometimes the writing is lazy, but this show is something to invest in. Not for kids under 13 though. Maybe 10-13 can watch it with parental guidance but they might get scared. Contains some make-out scenes and implies sex, involves drugs and alcohol. Tackles issues like abuse and mental health. Literally, go watch it. It’s way easier to explain to someone once they’ve watched it.

Very good but scary
I like riverdale a lot. I am almost 14 and I still get creeped which is nice. The first season is about a murder of Jason blossom. With dark family mysterys. The second is about a serial killer called the black hood. It is scary and gives you the creeps. The third season is about the gargoyle king. Which is by far the scariest season. It is superanatrual. I needed to turn on a more lightweight show just to calm myself. It has a lot of s*x but honestly it cuts out all of the nutiy. And ut only gets creepier. If you skip a season it doesn’t matter that much they should catch you up. I recommend skipping parts you don’t need/like.

So good people are overreacting
I’ve seen some parents get really mad at this tv show and I just can’t see why. There is brief kissing in a car, Archie and Voronica imply sex while taking off there clothing, not in a sexual way. Jughead picks up Betty and sits her on a counter and they remove there shirts but get interrupted. There is gang behaviour but it is implied the risks of being in a gang. Betty does strip but not very provocatively. Nick tried to date rape Cheryl but gets caught which is a good lesson for tweens to not put things in peoples drinks because it’s not funny. There are good role models and 14+ is unreasonable.

An honest review;
I really like this show, it gets a bit cringey in the later seasons but it's entertaining if that's what you're worried about! As far as age goes, it's a bit dark (suicides. sexual assault, murder), it has a lot of illegal stuff (drugs, underage drinking, deaths), some not great values for kids (female competition for male attention, bullies, how you shouldn't deal with things), and has many scenes that imply (teen) sex. For that reason I feel like 14 is a good age for this show.

So bad it's good; Season 2 more mature
I'll start this out by saying I enjoy Riverdale, but it's not a good show in a traditional sense. It's bad, in fact, it's so bad it's good, and that's why I like it. The seasons are pretty different, so I'm reviewing them separately:
Season 1 is pretty close to an average teen drama show — with a murder mystery plot that's usually lurking in the background. Season 1 is my least favorite season so far. While the mystery itself is genuinely interesting (even though I knew who the murderer was going into it), there's way too much time spent on plotlines that I don't find interesting. Additionally, the show fails spectacularly at social commentary (such as the slut-shaming episode, which was handled terribly) and the way that they portray the relationship between 15-year-old Archie and his teacher is uncomfortable. The final episode is very intense.
Season 2 is where Riverdale starts to go crazy and that's why I like it so much. The mystery of the Black Hood — a serial killer targeting "sinners" — is creepier and gorier than the first season, which I don't love, and the mystery is handled much worse (and it's provable that the writers didn't know who the Black Hood was going to be until much later). But it's so absurd that I can't help but like it. Archie joins the mafia. Jughead joins a gang. Betty gets a creepy new brother. Cheryl becomes a superhero. And that's not anywhere close to the half of it.
Content warnings:
Season 1:
some violence and gore; alcoholism; homelessness; emotional abuse; self-harm; abuse; slut-shaming; dissociative episodes; attempted suicide; arson; presumed overdose.
Season 2:
violence and gore; murder (there's a creepy guy who shows up in people's houses and kills them); webcamming by an underage character; a strip tease by an underage character, in a room full of grown adults; roofies; attempted rape; conversion therapy; emotional abuse; abuse; torture; mutilation; a character attempts to bury another alive.
Season 2 is a lot more adult and mature than Season 1, so consider that carefully, especially since Season 1 ends on a huge cliffhanger.
