What's the Story?

ROBIN HOOD is set in medieval England, when Norman authority threatens the lives of resident Saxons. Robert Locksley (Jack Patten) is the son of a Saxon man, who has been forced to comply with the Sheriff of Nottingham (Sean Bean) and become forester to land he once owned. Now living on this land is the Huntingdon patriarch and his daughter Marian (Lauren McQueen). But when his father is wrongly executed, Rob sets on a grief-stricken path of faith, identity, rebellion, and vengeance.

This series fleshes out rich, cultural origins for this notable folkloric outlaw. Robin Hood is grounded in history and spirituality. Balanced with nuanced, strong characters, this typical tale is a lot more interesting and refreshing this time around. The language, sex, drinking, and violence makes this suitable only for older teens.
