What's the Story?

In ROMANTICS ANONYMOUS, a Korean woman named Hana (Han Hyo-joo) living in Japan has risen through the ranks of Japanese chocolatiers thanks to her mentor. When he's no longer around to help, Hana is at risk of losing her job as well as her position of anonymity, which helps her cope with her scopophobia (excessive fear of being watched or stared at). Will her new mentor be able to respect her challenges? Can she learn to grow close to people?

Languid and sweet, like a truffle melting on the tongue, this drama contains art-house pauses that feel like real life. Characters in Romantics Anonymous have extraordinary phobic conditions, making it hard for them to connect with each other, but their challenges are never made cartoonish.

Layers of subtle emotion keep the intrigue flowing in this show. Romantics Anonymous will be enjoyed most by viewers who like sophisticated romances.
