Salcedo, Leather, and Boogaloo
Parent and Kid Reviews
What's the Story?
In SALCEDO, LEATHER, AND BOOGALOO, the story of Martin Salcedo (Sergio Palau) is told in brief vignettes. What started as a night out at local salsa club Quibera Canto, becomes a harmless on crush on the local waitress Veronica (Paola González.) This crush becomes Martin's start as Veronica's loyal customer to her side gig selling drugs. His life quickly spirals into the darker side of the salsa club, where each night brings unpredictable chaos and violence.
Is It Any Good?
This series is a swift exploration into a chaotic, complex character. Salcedo, Leather, And Boogaloo is intriguing and dark, even with its short episode runtime. Fans of the original series will appreciate the expansion into Martin's journey. The drug use, drinking, language, and violence make this suitable only for older teens.
