This silly series features lots of strange noises and screams as contestants attempt to keep their cool and stay in the game. Ghostly images range from special effects to live-action visits from zombies, murderous clowns, and other creatures from the beyond. Meanwhile, challenges incorporate snakes, scorpions, and other creepy things.

These elements are combined with the endless bickering, scheming, and competitive behaviors that drive these sort of reality competitions. As a result, Scared Famous is more absurd than it is frightening. Fans of some of the reality personalities featured here may be drawn to it, but it's more nonsensical than it is original.
