Beautifully shot / filmed and narrated. Reminds me of the National Geographic programs I used to watch as a child, which made me grow up with a deep love and respect and understanding of animals. Every parent should show this to their children! The videographers in this series did an astonishingly remarkable job at capturing the lives of these beautiful animals in their natural habitat. You really feel as though you are in/on the Serengeti with them! And yes, I'm fond of the fact that the producers chose to name the animals because it allows the viewer to bond with them more. You really empathize with these animals and feel their triumphs, and at times, their pain. Truly a beautiful series that documents the lives of sentient beings in their breathtakingly beautiful-but not always hospitable-environment.
