What's the Story?

Sneaker Wars: Adidas vs. Puma tells the story of two brothers who each founded their own athletic shoes business. As Adidas and Puma each grew in notoriety, the rivalry stayed intact and even divided the small town where both companies are located, right across the river from one another.

There's a fascinating story at the heart of this decades-old rivalry. But Sneaker Wars: Adidas vs. Puma merely uses it as window dressing to advertise both brands. If it were a feature-length documentary, it might have worked. As a series, it's stretched way beyond what the story of the rivalry can bear, padded out with segment after segment of endorsements.
