Snoopy Presents: There's No Place Like Home, Snoopy
Parent and Kid Reviews
What's the Story?
Sally, Charlie Brown, and Snoopy are having a yard sale, and the trio has different feelings about letting go of their things. When Sally accidentally sells Snoopy's doghouse, the beagle is devastated but not defeated. He puts on his checkered hat and turns into a detective for the day. With the help of Charlie Brown, Snoopy soon realizes there's more to having a home than just getting back his doghouse.
Is It Any Good?
Just like the other Snoopy Presents specials, this one is charming, with lifelong lessons and a rhythm that's true to the Peanuts brand. Snoopy Presents: There's No Place Like Home, Snoopy is a soft and heartfelt take on what it means to have a home. It expands the meaning beyond just where we live to encompass the memories we make and the people we share them with. It's a touching story the whole family can enjoy, though it may resonate more with those who've experienced moving, loss, or have simply lived a little longer.
Talk to Your Kids About ...
Families can talk about the main message in Snoopy Presents: There's No Place Like Home, Snoopy. What does Snoopy learn about what truly makes a home?
Snoopy shows perseverance, and Charlie Brown has a lot of empathy. How do these traits help them achieve their goals? Can you think of times you've used any of these in real life?
Franklin and Milo are two Black characters in the Peanuts gang. Why do you think there are so few characters of color in the franchise? How would you change that, if given the chance?
